No those comments did not get him fired as he had been fired the early morning of April Fools Day do to fact there was a change in management that felt he was getting too power full at CBS. He claimed he was getting deluged with too many assignments that included every thing from Football NFL and NCAA,basketball and play-by-play duties of MLB. So when he said Folks, I've had the best seat in the house. Thanks for sharing it , I'll see you down the roadhe all-ready knew that Duke vs UNLV game would be his last assignment for CBS. Bret most likely did not what to get into a law suit as he quickly went to work for ABC working NCAA basketball and Football. My best guess would be that a lawsuit would have delayed this and maybe made it hard to get a good job in the industry. No sure if CBS also had to pay him money or what was in his contract.
I'm no expert, but I've had a lot of luck using Gorilla Glue for bonding numerous things, and, at least in my experience, once that glue sets it's virtually impossible to separate the two substances that are bonded with it. Perhaps you could buy a container of it and try it out after reading the directions on the container. Good luck.
