I've seen houses in Dearborn Heights built in 1958 that had galvanized pipes, and houses in Livonia built as early as 1962 that had copper pipes. Was there a code change somewhere in there that mandated that all new houses have copper plumbing? Or were there different codes in Livonia vs. Dearborn Heights?
