Ingredients for a dry rub for Ribs or pork steak?

I would like to cook a good grilled ribs or pork steaknow i need a recipe for a good dry rub.I have never tasted the ones with brown sugaris it ok?I also want to pre cook the meat before grillingI only have a broiler (hot air blown on the item to be cooked) is it OK?slow cook about 2 hours before grilling? Are my steps OK?1apply the dry rub and wrap the ribs in aluminum foil2slow cook in broiler for 2 hours.turn every 30 mins (what is the best temperature?)3remove the ribs from the foil then grilluse the drippings as coating while grilling

Answer:

2-4 days depending on the temperature of your fridgeIf the meat is still mostly red and doesn't have an odor, it's still good.
sell by that date means the date on them is when you should not sell the item.
I only use salt and pepper, and rub in with my hands and cook in a dutch oven or a covered casserole, but foil will doYou just need a low temperature and the time is immaterial as you have already precooked them in the ovenI prefer not to use the fat from the meats, but just a little glaze.
