Question:

Is it possible to brand aluminum?

I have all of these small aluminum samples of tracks that I sellSo far I have been meticulously labeling all of them, but I need a faster wayIs there like a propane powered brand that can melt the text I want directly into the metal (long shot) ? What other ideas do you have to make this faster?

Answer:

Cut a piece of fresh apple into the container and put a tight lid on it for 24 hoursIt is amazing how soft the sugar will become.
Put in microwave for a few seconds (maybe 30-45 seconds)check it and add an additional 30 seconds if its still hardBut to keep from getting hard, make sure you seal brown sugar in an air-tight container or Ziploc bags because the air is what stiffens it.
you probley want to soften the butter then add the brown sugarIf you really want to soften the brown sugar heat it upI have recipes and even a few special ingredients let me know what type of stuff you are looking for
put a piece of bread in with the brown sugar and it will soften it up over night peanut butter cookies 1 cup peanut butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1/2 cup flour makes a dozen cookies bake 375 degrees for about 8-10 minutes - just till golden brown on the edges - bake too long and they will get crunchy - these cookies are better softer.
Due to the melting point and thermal conductivity of aluminum branding will probably not work, but if you have relatively hard punch made the same shape as the branding iron would have to be, you can press (or hammer) it into the aluminum cold, leaving a stamped impression.
