The castles were pretty much made of inflammable material. They had to be because of invaders. If they would have made the castles out of flammable material one catapult with a flame ball would be all it would take to destroy the castle. The fire extinguishers were added due to laws enacted later. Some laws don't make sense but have to be followed because the nit-wits have the power.

Should be able to. It may take a bit more squeeze on the handle, and the piece you cut off may want to fly away, but with a bit of care you should have no problems.
So long as the management is aware of what you are doing, you can lock the fridge. I bet though the management doesn't know though. I believe though you add whatever condiments you want to your store bought food items. The housemate has no reason or right to be taking your food and if he happens to get an allergic reaction to the food, while you don't have an allergic reaction to whatever you put in the food, then he can't press charges on you. Also, chances of you knowing he would have an allergic to whatever you decide to put into the food is something you don't know or at least I think you wouldn't know. Like what one other person said, you should probably just get your own fridge that you can place in your room, that or get food that he probably won't steal like cooking ingredients.
I know in if there were a castles in Florida there would definitely be fire extinguishers in the castles. Who knows what kinda fire regulations they have in Great Britain tough.
