Question:

Is salt quartz or in the quartz family?

Is salt quartz or in the quartz family?

Answer:

50% over what? Baseboard electric heat? A central ground source heat pump system (the absolute cheapest operating expense: almost nothing on the electric bill just sit down when you see the installation expense) or any other portable electric heater? Most likely it is the last one and only because you can feel warmer at 1/2 the setting. Quite a few years ago they were very big and then they faded probably due to design flaws that allowed them to get too hot and the quartz tubes they used had a tendency to break. Or maybe it was just stupid claims like this. I had one and liked the quality of the heat because it was most like a fire for old injuries to bones and joints. It almost seemed therapeutic.
Watch out for this one. You can buy a $29.99 electric heater at most dept stores that will give out the same amount of heat and safety. EndenPURE does't advertise the BTU or the Watts of there units, because they are no better then the cheap (but good) $29.99 heaters from any Dept store. By law,a 120 volt wall outlet can only use at most 1500 watts (5200btu) heater, just like the $29.99 electric heater or the EdenPURE 1000 product that will cost over $500.00 with shipping. A 1500 watt $29.99 electric heater will actually produce more heat then the endenPURE 500 heater. Check this out will a local professional if you don't believe me.
Sure it will, and it will cost as much to do it as any other electric heater. Spend the money on insulation and you will save much more.
More like Eden Pure Snake Oil The website is a good laugh. Any heating will reduce the relative humidity of the air, because it is in direct correlation to temperature. Unless the thing is hooked up to water it can't possibly heat up a room without decreasing the humidity. No heater ever produced dangerous radiation, unless some crazy person tried heating their home spent fuel rods. electric resistance heat is 100% efficient, and 1000 watts of input equals 3413 btu's. It doesn't matter if your using light bulbs, quartz heating elements, open ribbon elements, or ceramic elements, the conversion from watts to BTU's is the same. Head down to the local Hardware and just pick up a 49 dollar electric heater that will do exactly the same thing a whole lot cheaper. .
