Question:

Is there a safe, efficient, battery-operated electric blanket on the market for winter tent camping?

I'd love to find one for the annual Boy Scout Iditerod campout. We're in tents in January. I don't want a car battery hooked up to the thing. Suggestions?

Answer:

Well she did wear it to the race, so technically she's right. Plus what does it matter when it's for the Wheldon auction, no big deal.
We check the batteries every few months and check to make sure they are working all the time. We have 3 alarms and one of those alarms are a Co2 detector and smoke detector combined. We have several escape routes for different scenarios and we have a different meeting place when a certain scenario comes up. You are right you can never be too safe and it could happen to anyone!
Boo Radley places the blanket around Scout's shoulders. Scout doesn't notice because she is either really tired or distracted by watching the fire, I forget which.
If you think about it, race worn sounds better than worn, and she does wear a fire suit to the races. Someone once mentioned that DeLana said it was a safety factor. Trust me if Kevin ever catches on fire, DeLana WILL be the first one there to save him. She loves him, and they love each other. Besides if she didn't wear a fire suit how would Joey Logano have come up with such a great saying? Sentiment is much appreciated. It is never wrong to do good. Wonderful idea to help bless Dan Wheldon's family. Their hearts must be absolutely shattered. There is a picture of Dan, his Wife and two little boys at the bottom of the auction page set up for this auction. Such a very heart wrenching and tragic accident and loss.
So what? That's not as good as the crew's race worn duds? You really gonna bid on the tire changers suit? She's raising money for Wheldon's kids, leave it alone.
