Question:

Is there a way to control who can and cannot see/access a shared folder (in server 2k3) without turning on AD?

I am not a system administrator, but will be playing one for my company.I am going to be centralizing some data and making it available via a shared folder. What I want to do is make it so some computers can see and access the data, while others cant. Right now the everyone group has full access to this share, but that is not ideal, especially with WIFI running. However, i would like to avoid implementing active directory and setting up a domain. Is this possible? That way, is there a way to indicate that an account on another system can have access? Thanks!

Answer:

UV safety glasses are there to perform several functions. Firstly, UV safety goggles are there to protect the technician from any harmful wavelengths of light that might be emitted from a UV lamp. Fortunately, the UV lamps sold by us emit light above the range where any damage can occur, so you should not need to use a pair of leak detection glasses. Still, it is wise to wear UV blocking glasses and not to stare into any of our leak detection lamps during usage.
Yes, this concept has been thought of before. I learned this in grade school. We all see colors differently from others. What you said makes absolute sense and is completely true. In fact, I have experienced this with my freinds. We also hear things differently. For instance, I hear my voice differently than how you would hear it because in the process of the sound of my voice traveling from my mouth to your ear, by the time the sound get to your ear you have heard it differently from how I heard my own voice.
