Question:

Is there any home insurance that covers a new home while knob and tube is being replaced?

We are willing to have the electrics updated within the first few weeks of ownership.

Answer:

All home owners insurance should cover knob and tube wiring if it was installed correctlyI've never heard of any that wouldn'tI've replaced lots of knob and tube with romex or conduitI have heard of insurance companies having a problem with aluminum branch circuits.
Personally I have always used Clover Takumi Bamboo needlesBy accident I picked up a Takumi Velvet and love itThey are part of the Clover lineYou won't be disappointedI got the velvet at a yarn shopI am aware that their regular line is sold in Michael's stores.
I like the Harmony needles at KnitPicksThe patterning in the wood is really neat, and the needles are quite pointy (excellent for doing lacework)I have the interchangeable set, the sock needle set, and a set of the straight needlesI've tried going back to my old bamboo needles and I just don't like those anymoreI really don't see myself using anything besides these Harmony needles for quite some time.
Brittany needles are very nice but expensiveLantern Moon are also really nice and also really expensiveMy current favourites are Knit Picks - the laminate birch ones - very colourful, nice pointy endsI have a varied collection - some metal, some plastic, wooden ones, bamboo ones, and some casein ones, which is a product made from milkEach material has its pros and cons, depending on what you are doing and what kind of yarn you are using I don't use my wooden needles with acrylic yarns because some acrylics (and some yarns with metallic strands) wreck the finish on the needlesI don't use my Addis with slippery yarns (silk, rayon) because the yarn slides right offIf you have arthritis in your hands the casein needles are perfect and the metal needles are not so good, with all the others somewhere in betweenI have tried bamboo but I don't care for them as they break on me - I think I am too rough on them.
Yeah you usually don't want to use metal or plastic because they don't slide as easily.I went to Michael's Craft Supply and got these AMAZING wooden babmboo onesThey slide super easilyThe brand is called FiddlesticksI highly reccomend them, because they are cheap as well!
