It's a very hard material. Bought at a fish store for cheap. They're reddish-orange and nearly black. No crystals, but the larger one has a region that has been smoothed down a little and is slightly slightly reflective.
That's what the training is for I don't think that you are authorized to go on calls without completing some period of training, it's just too dangerous to let you out there with no training. You could get hurt. or someone else could because you were in the way or did something you shouldn't have. Ask all these questions at your first nite of training, they will tell you what you can and can't do.
Materials: Glass, red pigment, light source, light receiver (maybe a light meter?) Independent variables: Amount of red pigment used Dependent variables: How much light is reflected Procedure: Set up 10 trials, in the first trial there is no pigment added to the glass, and continue until trial 10 until you’ve added the max amount of pigment you wish to use. Data: How much light is reflected back in each trial? (record units) Accuracy: Remove any other outside light sources, so conduct the experiment in the dark. Make sure the surface of the glass is clean.
