My '92 Jeep doesn't have an alarm and personally, I think they are a waste of time. I've seen too many of them going off because the car gets touched or bumped or the wind blows too hard and I've noticed the people pretty much ignore them. My neighbor's used to go off in the middle of the night and it just P|ssed me off because it was only the wind. They go off so easily that it's the Cry Wolf syndrome. BTW, I keep my keys on a hook by the front door. I asked the question below and seems that it would be a moot point if the car alarm DID go off. .... Sorry
