i have a S280 1996 auto.would a C280 transmission fit in a S280 mercedes?
More information is needed. The C280 name has been used on the W202, W203 and even the W204 chassis in some regions. They had different transmissions in them, depending on the model year (and if it is a rear wheel drive or a 4Matic).
Probably, but there may be a few complications. You should be able to solve this with a 5 min call to you local Merc dealer -- I've always found them to be extremely helpful.
