Question:

my 65 mustang transmission leaks from the front, where its attached to the engine.?

it leaks from the front, its a manual 3 speed transmission.its a steady drip the transmission works good so i just have the leak to deal with.

Answer:

Are you sure the transmission is leaking, its far more common for it to be a rear engine seal on a standard transmission.
The usual cause of a transmission leak is a bad seal, in your case its the one on the input shaft. To replace it requires removal of the drive shaft and the transmission so its either a high cost repair at a shop or a doable DIY job if you have the ability and tools. Since its a '65 model and a manual give a bottle of White Shepard transmission stop leak a try first, it can often take care of small leaks for a temporary period. until the clutch or release bearing needs replacement then they can all be done at the same saving the price of dropping the transmission twice.
the collar that the throw out bearing rides on has a seal and gasket behind it either one of those are gone so transmission out and take the 3 or 4 bolts that hold the collar to the case and replace both
