Question:

Oil for John Deere Tractor transmission?

What kind of oil do you put in the transmission of a John Deere B tractor? Some people say fluid, some say oil. Is there a difference?

Answer:

a check engine light is because there is something that the computer in your car is seeing, that has failed its drive cycle test. the only thing that is going to fix it is to have the vehicles computer scanned, figure out the code, test and replace component as needed.
Yes, you can get a can of check engine light go outer at auto zone. To my recollection it costs 59 cents.
NoThe check engine light must be reset for the fault that caused it More details get you more help.
It takes hydraulic fluid if its hydrostatic drive. If its not then 80w90.
Automatic transmissions in cars use transmission fluid Type F for Ford and Type A for everything else. Manual shift transmissions use heavy oil, and I'd probably put SAE 80 in it.
