Question:

POWER VENT ON GAS BOILER?

I HAVE THREE GAS BOILERS, teledyne laars mini therm II, i am having problems with my chimney sweating and creating water damage. i would like to vent them via power vent, but i have no room for three power vents only one. do they make a control box that will cycle the power vent for the boilers and is this possible or legal to do.i am not sure if just running a stainless steel liner up the chimney and vent through that instead.

Answer:

I have never done this but as far as I think, running a stainless steel liner up the chimney will be a better option.
It's not clear if your boilers are all of the same venting category. Improper sized vent pipe can cause condensation. Check this site for info about venting and you should be able figure out if your boilers are vented properly and sized properly.
