Question:

question for automechanics?

My car is making a rattleing noise whenever I drive over a bump or anything that would cause the struts on the front end to work. Kind sounds lke something is loose with the suspension system, not sure what to look for, this started happening when I drove my car through the first snow storm this year.

Answer:

check your sway bar link rods
Most of the bad vertical rattles are caused by strut mounts just above the strut. Good idea to change the struts while your in there.
Suspension/ braking systems are serious things to mess with. If you don't know what to look for you won't know if there is anything important wrong will you? Get it checked by someone who knows what they are looking at, for your own safety.
