Question:

Should this be good to go into the oven?

I'm making bread right now, but I realized that I have no good bread pansSo I'm looking around to see what might work, and I found that I have several aluminum cans that I buy my cappuccino mix inI think they are aluminum, I'm not too sure, but it has to be either aluminum or tinThey are about the same thickness as a soda can, so I was thinking they may make some cool little bread loavesWould they be able to go into the oven? I need to know pretty fastOtherwise, I'll have to use a cake pan.

Answer:

I'm not exactly sure what kind of cans you are talking aboutI've baked bread in coffee cans and large cans that peaches or pumpkin come inThese are sturdy cansIf your cans are study, then you might be okayI've put them together end to end and wrapped aluminum foil around the seam and tied it with string to keep it in placeI wouldn't use a thin can like a beer canThere's nothing wrong with a cake pan, or any shaped dish that can stand 375 degrees in the ovenYou could divide your bread into two or three narrow pieces and put it on baking sheetsYou'll get little loaves that resemble French style bread.
goin cook tilapia extra virgin olive oil started taste good
I use extra-virgin olive oil for frying with no problemSometimes I use it half and half with butter, tooI don't use it for deep fat frying though because it has a fairly low smoke point and deep fat frying requires a high temperature and olive oil would smokeThe reason olive oil, any type, is not recommended in most recipes is because it has a much stronger flavor than cooking oils such as canola and corn oilCakes and cookies and such just wouldn't taste right with olive oilUsing a more flavorless oil is better for most recipes.
The main thing that you must concern yourself with is that extra virgin olive oil is only for pouring on food as in salads and marinatingTo cook you must use olive oil as this oil will not burn easilyGood luck
Extra virgin olive oil is healthier than most oils and your fish should taste fineIt has a slightly higher smoke point than some oils so be careful not to get your pan toooo hotIt will also add a slight flavor to the fish and if you have some lemon, that would be a great combo.
