Question:

Sound Proofing my room?

I have a decent set of speakers and a sub but cant play it very loud because it vibrates through the house and i was wondering if spraying spray foam in your walls would work for dampening the sound or doing anything what so ever (p.s any other ideas that are not a big reno or very expensive would be appreciated)

Answer:

You example is flawed - you are just comparing an individual - a small framed, weak muscled woman. It would be the same as a gangly unmuscly man doing the job. Neither would be physically right for it. In biological tests men and women were given the same diet and workouts and the muscle mass results were equal. As a teenage I did manual work and I lifted weights. Your argument isn't about gender, but an individuals mental and physical abilities.
Since you don't have a lot of features, any reputable alarm will do. Just go to your nearest car stereo shop and ask them. Don't buy an expensive one no matter what the salesperson tells you. The primary difference within lines of product are features (which you can't use, like power door lock controls, etc). Make sure it has an 'external' or 'off-board' shock sensor. The shock sensors built into the alarm brains are spotty at best. I used to install DEI and Clifford, both are outstanding (and now the same company anyways). Alpine used to make good alarms but they became hard to get in my area.
