Question:

The suspension on my lincoln is not rising, the bags, hose, motor all have been worked on whats the problem?

What could be the cause of this. I am going to get it switched over to spring shocks later on, but right now I need it drivable. Need advise please help!!

Answer:

Sounds like you need new air shocks.
Typically an air suspension works by having a motor drive and bellows of some sort that forces air into the lines that go to pneumatic shocks on each wheel. There is also a sensor that senses the angle of the car and pumps up the appropriate shock to maintain the desired level and firmness of ride. Some of the more complex systems are also demand sensitive--that is to say, they try to compensate for hard braking and turning where you would want less nose dive or sway in turns. Most often the Lincolns have a bellows failure--which is essentially a diaphragm and its leaking prohibits the car's capacity to pump up the system. However, you could also have a leak in a seal somewhere that is simply allowing air to escape. The air shocks themselves might also have bad seals that are allowing air to escape from them.
try turning on the switch in the trunk. Maybe there is a line disconnected somewhere.
