Question:

transmission flush at 90000 miles yay or nay?

on a crown Victoria 2003 police interceptor so many rumors around flushing a transmission

Answer:

You need to buy a scrap or 2nd hand suspension unit
New car dealerships and transmission shops do not flush transmissions. Dirty fluid may get stuck in the valve body (brains of the transmission) if you do. Flushing does not give you a new transmission filter if you decide to flush it. Your local Ford Dealer will advise you what the fluid CHANGE schedule is for your car. Changing the fluid will give you a new filter.
So many rumors and not a single owners manual nor a single warranty for any car ever made that says anything about a transmission flush. And from that fact we might conclude___________________________? There you go. btw The engine on your interceptor has nearly twice the running hours of other 2003 Crown Vics. That's because it sat with the engine running most of the time. And for the same reason, the transmission on your Crown Vic has only half the working hours of other 2003 Crown Vics, so its probably fine as is.
if its bronw or black thats not good but a good shop can exhhange the fluid without harming the transmission. The fluid EXCHANGE those lube and screw places sell with no filter change is bad I mean really bad for your transmission. Find a good shop with a good reputation and talk to the guys there its usually around 90 or 100 bucks using transmission fluid only no fast flush crud ( tranny fluid is high detergent already) transmissions need to be super clean to work right. If the fluid is burnt let the shop make the call I was able to buy some time by changing the fluid but the damage was already done to the catalytic converter bearings which usually go first followed by the pump.
