Question:

transmission p0700 code?

i gotta 2003 dodge neon with a 2.0L engine that‘s giving me the following codes P0700- transmission control systemP0732- gear 2 incorrect ratioP0733- gear 3 incorrect ratio P0700-transmission control system (yeah its there twice) would this be caused by bad transmission fluid???

Answer:

The Transmission Solenoid Assembly (TSA) is bad. It is not caused by bad fluid.
NOT BAD FLUID, Was the transmission fluid changed or flushed recently? If these fault codes that were retrieved are accompanied by a slight whining noise then this indicates a problem with the transmission front pump for which there is a TSB (technical service bulletin) (# 21-004-05 search for it) about front pump failure! ADDED: In order for it to be the solenoid pack it will have to have a P0700, P0750 or P0755 But no slippage codes! ADDED: The trans has to be removed for this repair!
the big problem is that 2nd and 3rd are slipping, the 700 is stored any time there is a problem with the trans.
