What is the pan thing called at the bottom of the transmission right under the vehicle? Theres a hole in the pan thing at the bottom of the transmission of my truck.and I have no idea what the thing is called so I can figure out how expensive they arecan anyone tell me?
It is called the transmission pan. You could get 1 from a junk yard for under 25.00. While you have the pan down, replace the tranny filter and refill the tranny withDexron II or Mercon tranny fluid
that would be the transmission pan,and of there's hole in it you have big problems,they cost about 25 bucks used at a salvage yard,or any parts store can order you a new one,they cost a little more new though,i hope i didn't hurt the transmission when it ran dry on fluid,good luck.
