1. Some people will have reactions to passing fabric through their hands. It could be dye, finish, or just the fibers themselves. Gloves eliminate that. 2. Of course, running with scissors is a big one along with needles and other sharps. 3. Dye will not be a big concern unless there are defects and it is coming off the fabric or for some reason you are grinding it. 4. If you have sewing occurring, machine oil and motors are a concern, but that is the same for any machine. 5. Again, if you have bad fabric, you may notice off gassing of the finish from the fabric. Formaldehyde is possible, especially for very cheap fabric.
You have to report it, its too dangerous for anyone else who might have not even encountered this problem, i would get your money back and also my husband said leave it as is and get a lawyer could be a possible lawsuit.
