Question:

WATER LEAKING FROM COMBI BOILER?

hi all..just turned on my heating and had water running from the back of my OCEAN ALPHA 280 COMBI BOILER. whats happened? cant get to the problem because the leak is behind a metal back plate on the boiler.. read some things about the HEAT EXCHANGER?any suggestions?

Answer:

To be fair it could be a number of things and without being there who knows. Call in a professional engineer as there is very little you can do yourself if the boiler requires any dismantlement to repair it.
good chance it is the aav leaking
Hi i am not an engineer but we have a combi boiler (Glow-worm) with a British gas contract, i have found when you top up the central heating from the filling loop if you top up to much when the water expands with the radiators on the excess will come out of the over flow pipe till it finds it`s own level. hope this info helps, get it checked if you are not happy!
call in a SAFE gas fitter
