what are bed bugs and what is the best way to kill them?
Bed bugs belong to the family Cimicidae and there are three species that bites people. Grown bed bugs are small, ? inch in length and are wingless oval in shape as shown in the pictures beneath. Sometimes they are mistaken for small cockroaches or ticks. Infant bed bugs are the size of a poppy seed. Just after moulting bed bugs range from nearly white in colour to light tan to a deep brown to burnt orange. When they have fed the host’s blood may appear as a dark red or black mass within the? bug’s body. Because they never develop wings, bed bugs cannot fly. When disturbed, they seek shelter in dark cracks and crevices. Sometimes you can discover cast skins of them. In heavily infested residences a coriander-like smell can be detected.
they live in your bed you can kill them but i don't know how but the only reason your suppose to kill them is that if your allergic to their droppings bed bugs are bugs that eat your dead skin every night they live on everybody's bed

you have to get an exterminator to use a special powder to treat them, it may take several treatments, you can try wrapping your mattress in an air tight plastic cover that zips the entire thing closed if you can't buy a new one. The bugs hide in very small crevices in your bed frames and in the seams of the mattresses, they do not die from just regular bug spray, they can also be very very small, you may have them for years and not see them
Bed bugs do not live on/in every mattress. From what I heard, they are attracted by carbon dioxide (the air we breathe out). They are insects and they bite humans and animals. I work for a property management firm, and one of our tenants was having a problem with bed bugs. They can come from numerous places. The most common are used furniture (thrift store or picked up off the curb) and hotels (get into your luggage and you can bring them home). They are very hard to detect and can be quite difficult to get rid of. I heard that they are now training dogs to detect bed bugs.
