Question:

what cooking utensils do I need to cook a turkey?

im cooking a turkey for my mom and I doubt I have anything to cook anything that big, including the panI plan to cook it in the ovenOh, I do have a meat thermometerI use iit to measure water temp for teahehe

Answer:

Im only an A-Level student but from what I have learnt, the ratio of 1:1 is before the activation of when the NaOH is addedThe reason being that when the NaOH reacts with the aluminium it is removed from the entire compound i.eso that it is only powdered nickle remains
Thermometer goodYou get off cheapDollar stores sell disposable aluminum roasting pans for CHEAPYou are supposed to throw them awayMine is on it's 9th turkey and fifth hamYou need a deep roasting pan and some aluminum foil for the end of the cookingYou also need a long spoon for getting turkey juices and pouring over the top every once in awhile while cookingThose baster things are hard to cleanSpoon is easyI wrap a dish towel around my hand and arm before I grab the spoonEvery timeNever fail I hit the top of the oven and burn my handWrapping the towel keeps me from spouting explicatives and embarrassing myselfTurkey is real easy325 for four hours for a 15 pounderthree hours for ten poundsUse your thermometer170 in the thickest part after three hours start watchingI leave it alone for two hoursThen every 15 minutes I spoon juices over the birdThen I tent it with foil when I like the color on topI wash and dry my turkeyI rub olive oil all over and a little salt and poultry seasoning all over and insideI do not stuff turkeysI make my stuffing by cooking some onion and garlic and celery and carrot slowly in a pan with olive oilSweat it good but not brownWe call this the marriageI make two boxes of stove top stuffing and I put the marriage in the boiling water before dumping the boxed stuffing inI put four carrots and four sticks of celery alternated on the bottom of the roasting panI put the turkey on top of thisKeeps the skin on bottom from burningEasier cleanup, I love the juicy veggies, and I want to save my disposable pan to use againGood Luck.
