hmm i have a problem with my car and i think i need transmission fluid i was talking to my friend and by the me saying the first thing he said you probably need transmission fluid, so before i go ahead and ask what my problem might be i wanted to maybe seee if someone can explain what transmission fluid does. thanksss
Transmission fluid is a fluid that lubes all of the gears and plates inside of your transmission. Your transmission is actually made up of lots of gears, bearings, seals and pumps. Without the fluid, the gears grind and rub together causing slippage. If you can't feel your car change gears or it wont move then you need transmission fluid. The bad thing is after you drive without it, you have very little time to fill it before your complete transmission is trashed.
