Question:

What is the best type of speaker grille for homemade amplifier?

I'm building a small amplifier for one of my classesThis project takes the place of my mid-term exam so I'd like it to be really niceAnyway, I have all of the soldering/wiring/etcdone, I just have to package it.I've found a clear plastic case (that an iPod touch came in) and I thought that it would be perfect for the size speaker I'm putting inThe plastic isn't flimsy, but it isn't too thick eitherIt can definitely be drilled or cut into without it breakingThe speaker is 2-1/2quot;, if anyone cares.Anyway, I obviously don't want to leave the speaker exposed so my question is what kind of grille should I make? Should I find a mesh-y fabric to wrap over it? Should I drill a bunch of holes? Or should I actually make a grille (cut long narrow holes into the plastic)?I just want this to sound optimal, as well as be visually appealingLet me know if you have any recommendations! Thanks!

Answer:

First of all, never straighten wet or damp hair! U need a heat protectant spray which u can find at practically ant drugstoreMake sure ur hair is untangled tooThe temp on ur flat iron should suit ur hairThe highest heat is for super coarse hairTry to avoid it as hair and heat dont really go togetherOnce a week deep condition ur hair to make up for all the moisture lost during straighteningNd dont flat iron evryday! Make sure to cut split ends every 6-8 weeks as well
Try a heat protectant, I have curly hair tooAlso, invest in a good hair straightner.
There is also damage control spray that you apply right before straightening your hairIt make your hair stronger to the heatAlso avoid straightening it so muchDo only 3 days straight and the others curlyMake yourself a schedule for your hair
How about a piece of steel or aluminium window screen? If it looks too crude or rough, cover it with a piece of fabricAny fabric should work, but the looser the weave the less it will interfere with the sound, especially the higher frequencies [Answer provided from the U.Svia Y!A Canada to circumvent the new, unusable version.]
