My dorm has smoke detectors in every room, hallway, etc. There's one in the laundry room too, but there's also something else on the celing and i'm not sure what it is. It's like disc shaped and in the middle it sticks out a little and it covered by a white cap. You can also see a blinking red light under the cap. Any idea what this is

How about violin cases? Gangsters used to put Tommy Guns in them (at least in the movies). What about lunch boxes, book bags, pockets on a jacket? What about trench coats? I finished school in the seventies and non-hooded wear seems to be the wrong way to go. It sounds like they're going after the gangsta fashion trend, not that I know anything about fashion. Teach the students conflict resolution, not how to dress. I agree. Stupid rule. But, ya gotta do what they tell you, otherwise face their consequences. I would still bring up that conflict resolution thing to the principal. Get a group together about changing the curriculum to include lessening violence while in the institution, and not lessons on how to dress. T
