Question:

what safety measures do I take so I can oil paint while pregnant?

I have a sufficient charcoal/hepa filter air purifier,I don't mix my own paint I don't use turps or other thinners (I do use liquin) my colors of concern are the cobalts and cadmiums. Will wearing latex gloves and washing up well, not eating or drinking in the studio etc be enough? In extreme cases of exposure what are the risks for unborn babe? I am very early on in pregnancy, although art income is my primary source, I will stop painting while pregnant if it is just not safe.I stopped painting with my first child, even after a blood tox. said there were no levels of lead or other heavy metals.I am doing my own research but would love to check it against all of your imput and get as many oppinions as I can. ILOVE PAINTING, but I love my babies more!!

Answer:

Yes, that's an OK fix providing the clamp bolts get tucked away from hitting or scraping anything. Welding the pipe is the best way, but that takes a lot of equipment. You might get a welding shop or the community college (especially if you bring them all the parts) to do it cheap/free.
Yeah I have. Its at Ferrari World and its amazing! Its not that different from the Top Thrill Dragster. The launch is just like you start indoors but you speed up really fast and bolt straight out before rising to heights. The safety goggles do not limit your experience. You really need them on that roller-coaster and they only slightly affect your vision. If you wear a head-scarf, you have to wear something on your head too. The roller-coaster is awesome!
