I tend to be a hunter and not a killer. The only muzzle loading firearms I will hunt with use a piece of flint to create the spark needed for ignition.
Your search should probably start and end with either the Thompson/Center Omega or T/C Triumph. These models are available in your price range, and are excellent rifles.
