Question:

Which technological developments has Formula 1 transmitted to road cars?

I would like to know which are the main technological contributions the Formula 1 has made to the road cars we drive every day. Do you know some page on the web where i can find it?

Answer:

Formula 1 is a breeder for road cars thats why I'll say everything in an F1 car has been transformed into road cars. Thats the single reason why none of the major manufacturers want to leave F1 cuz the perception is that people will buy ther cars more when they see their performance on thr track. If you want specific examples, I'll say tires, paddle shifters, semi-automatic transmissions and high revving engines. One other important factor, its aerodymics.
I have tried countless tires over the years and have been happiest with the Michelin Pilot Series. Currently the best is the Power 2CT, get that and you will never regret the choice. Dunlope has a new 2 compound Qualifier tire that a few guys I know are currently running and they are telling me it's right on par with the Powers but I have yet to try them and most likely will not try them because the Powers have been so good.
You have just invoked the dreaded tyre thread a question that will get you booted from almost every motorcycle board on the internet. You'll have to do your research based on your style of riding and budget. The only thig I can offer is that you get what you pay for applies. Also even the finest tires are worthless if not mounted and balanced properly.
The first development to the road cars came as V technology engines which have been used in formula one cars, then aerodynamics related to the flow of air and downforce. A limited options have been used in Paddle Shift in road cars compared to F1 cars. Breaking systems, inter coolers, tyre technology etc. have been inspired from F1 cars. Fuel development can also be made like reduction of weight of the fuels that are used in normal cars. We can expect much more developments to the modern cars in the comming years.
Active suspension, semi-automatic gearboxes, and high revving engines are a few things off the top of my head. The electronic suspension systems and electronic gearboxes are the most recent additions to road cars that are becoming more and more common.
