Question:

Why does my purse set off store alarms?

A few weeks ago, my purse (currently, a Coach handbag) kept setting off store alarms. I had nothing else on me except for that. I walked in, and the stupid alarm went off. It was kindly demagnetized by one cashier, and the problem stopped. However, yesterday, it set off the alarm at Macy's. Again, I had NOTHING else with me. The girls at the counter told me that it could be that all of my electronics (cellphone, iPod, PlayStation Portable, and camera) created enough magnetism that it caused the alarm to go off. They said it happened to their coworkers as well. I've *always* had that stuff in my purse, and it has NEVER happened before. Could that be the case? Any other ideas? I was thinking of switching purses, and keeping some of that stuff at home, but would that make the problem stop? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, having a disability does not mean you cannot be fired. What it does mean is that you can only be fired if there are no accommodations available that would help you successfully accomplish your job and there are no other jobs you are well suited for.
