the suspension is made up of many different components. checking the tire's wear will help point out suspension problems. I would say your shocks are probably worn out, and you should replace them. But i'd need to look at the car to determine if anything else is causing the problem
you may have bad struts , if they have never been replaced then most likely because that is a long time for struts to last . you can look to see if there is oil leaking out of them , that is a sure sign
This is a hard question to even consider because we can't exactly SEE the car from here. It could be anything from a worn strut, to a worn coil, to a complete breakdown of your suspension system. Considering the make of your car and the old age I would suggest to first take it in to a shop to get looked at. Just pick a place that does free suspension check-ups(Sears often does them no matter what make of car it is). My second suggestion would be to consider getting a new car.
