Question:

Why my boiler has a sulfur smell?

Our hot water boiler recently shut off because of a storm and now it has a rotten egg smell to it. Does anyone know why? Thank you in advance

Answer:

Was a cleaner used earlier this season? If it was serviced they add a chemical to clean rust, scaling etc has that smell. Maybe there was some still in the boiler.
Check the sacrificial rod. Cheap DIY fix
ya your burner needs to warm up again may take awhile
