are all the wires plugged in correctly?
Ok, if you checked the basics with hooking up correctly, then the only other thing is that a fuse has blownor a driver in the speakers has blownI see you have dellthat explains it
Yeah, Dell speakers is not enough info. You probably have a bad connection somewhere within the wire leading from the speaker with the primary connection to the secondary speaker. You might be able to test this by bending the wire a bit, or just wiggling it, in a various locations across the length of the wire, especially if there is anywhere that is has an extreme bend. You also might try unplugging and replugging the cable for the speakers. Beyond that, you can do repairs to the wires, but it's probably not worth it. Looking at cost and benefit, you will probably be better off just buying new speakers. Dell speakers probably suck anyways. Get yourself a gift, but some nice speakers, they make a big difference, especially if you listen to a lot of music, videos, or play games.
