Question:

wireless keyboard/mouse problem?

I bought a new wireless mouse and keyboard yesterday and it was working fine, when I switched my computer on again last night the keyboard and mouse didnt pick up a signal, do you think i should take it back to the shop and get a refund?

Answer:

Don't return it yet. You should first make sure the receiver is working, push the button on the receiver (it may be underneath). If there are any lights they will start flashing at this point. Next push the corresponding button on the keyboard or mouse (it will definitely be underneath). Chances are they were just not talking to each other before, this will fix it.
Reinstall the driver. If it doesn't work, contact customer support.
Try new batteries first as the person said before, make sure you got a clear range i dont know if its a IR InferRed (needs a clear view point) or 2.4GHz one (needs a set distace to be clear)
no don't bother check that all the batteries are in, then if you look closely then you might see a little button hold both down (on computer receiver and on the mouse) do the same for the keyboard if that doesn't work goto the shop and ask them what the problem is then, if it still doesn't work. then get a refund!
Make sure no Metal or microwaves are on. anything with a magnetic signal can inturupt. Try getting the PC and keyboard nearer like putting ur pc on the floor and typing near it. if not. Unplug and move the Keyboard Reciveer around. If its a usb. If its a keyboard port well, check your port with another keyboard using that port. If the wireless just wont work. take back and say. it might be a malfuntion.
