Question:

1994 Honda Accord Exhaust System Problems -- Resonator?

So, my car has a problem. In the exact middle of the exhaust system a part of it is hanging down touching the ground, rendering the car useless. It appears after looking at exhaust diagrams on the internet that it is the resonator that is hanging down against the ground. My question is, will i have to replace the entire exhaust system, or just the resonator? -- It appears it rusted off.

Answer:

Honda resonators are part of about a five foot section of exhaust. Obviously it's called the resonator assembly. It bolts on the front of the resonator to the back of the catalytic converter and on the back of the resonator, it bolts to the rear muffler assembly. If the bolts aren't rusted you can do this yourself, figure around 110 for the part and gaskets.
it is called the B pipe. you will probably have to replace the exhaust from the catalytic converter back if it all original. you may also have a rust issue with the rear flange on the catalytic converter
