Question:

1996 BMW 328 automatic transmission?

What happens when the car‘s transmission slips when i press the gas? When i break,it‘s fine, but then when i start to press gas again, it does the same thing, when ever the car begins to go again, it slips. how can i fix this?

Answer:

The transmission belts are slipping. Get it serviced at transmission place. Unless you know a bit about transmission get it done by a pro. Transmissions are more complicated then engines. Unless you want to unbolt the transmission plan adjust the tension the belts renew the gasket and drain the transmission fluid. replace the transmission fliuld after rebolt/replacing the gasket of the transmission pan forget it. It's not a major job but a minor job most people could do with the car repair manual of the pacific car. Can be messy and a pain. Besides a transmission service is very inexpensive compare to replace or fixing major problems down the track I only do it for knowledge not to save money.
