Bought this car at an auction. It drove and it drives fine when cold. When the transmission gets hot is when the problems arise. It starts off great in first but the rpms just go up. It does not shift to second. I then let off of the gas waited and then gave it gas and it finally goes into second. Then it will not shift into third it just keeps going up in rpms. I let off of the gas and then go to give it gas and it seems to be in neutral. I flutter the gas and it jumps into gear eventually. It doesn‘t seem to go it to overdrive at all. It does have the AXOD trans.
Transmission is shot for sure,can buy more time with a new filter and fluid change,add a can of Lucas transmission additive when at it may help.
