My transmission slips when driving slowly but if you drive faster then 30 mph it drives perfectly. That being said, when i change my transmission fluid it always comes out black. What is causing this? Does the Saab have a transmission fluid filter that could be clogged? Any thoughts? Thanks.

Black indicates that the tranmission (or tranny like some mechanics like to call it) overheaded at one time. If it is always coming out black, and the fluid you are putting in is red or pink, it is probably overheating constantly. That is the most likely answer. Considering you mention it is slipping, it sounds like this transmission is getting ready to strand you and dying. An adjustment is probably not possible at this point after 10 years to make it last longer. Sorry for the bad news, but a rebuilt transmission is the most likely outcome of what you are describing.
I think it was not your fault that the label offered you no options other than don't do anything. It's obvious you didn't notice that before but it's so unusual that you would be given no cleaning options that you can't be faulted for not reading the label when you purchased it. It would be worth a try to take it back to the retail store where you purchased it and ask them to refund your money. If they say that's not possible, ask for a partial refund because you only got partial wear out of it before it was useless to you. I think the store is partially responsible for carrying a product that is not practical because it can't even be cleaned. One more argument for them to at least share the loss with you. It's worth a try but if you're nice about it, you're more likely to get them to agree with you. Good luck.
