Question:

2000 dodge grand caravan transmission diagnostic code?

The service engine light came on and the two codes are transmission related I am hoping for some help as to what could be the problem. The vehicle drives fine and the transmission shifts properly.

Answer:

If you mean the solenoid pack, try replacing the two gaskets first, then the whole solenoid pack. Or use a leak detector additive and special lamp yo find where its leaking. The Transmission Control Module is not hydraulic. If you see oil on it, it was spilled on it. Find a transmission mechanic.
Just curious but why didn't you mention the codes bec how we people help you if you don't give us all the details. Myself I'm actually working on a transmission code fault issue with a car and Dodge is bad for transmissions and wiring so it could be either one but if the van is a 2000 and has a few miles on it I'd be changing the transmission filter and fluid first off and then seeing what occurs. Your not getting a code 45 or 46 are you? Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way I'm helping a few friends with van transmission problems and be careful bec many shops will say you need to rebuild the transmission or change it and in fact you don't.Feel free to ask away and I'll try to help you through it as much as I can.
