Question:

2000 silverado transmission question?

Transmission was coming out of gear, at 55mph, .taking off from light had hard time going in second and third, just felt like it was on last leg. Even stranger, about 20 minutes of I thought it was slipping the engine started bucking, and did nothing when i floored it. Then it all cleared up as if everything was new! transmission shifting perfect and engine problem quit at the same timeI was wondering if a transmission sensor would cause his? and throwing the ecu off? Thanks for you help in advance

Answer:

you could try what you have, if you don't think it is doing the job I would recommend a fluval filtration system, they are a bit more expensive but there is minimal maintenance on them and they work soo good. It also depends on the kind of fish you are going to be putting in. Small reef fish are pretty clean but if youre going to have something like a puffer then you really need some serious filtration. I converted my freshwater tank over to salt with my existing filtration and it was fine until I got mr. puffer, he was such a dirty boy I had to upgrade. Also of course the amount of fish you have in there will make a difference in what you need.
if it is a manual, then you might have a severe problem and you might think about saying goodbye before the value of the truck drops abruptly! if it is an automatic then it could be as simple as needing a fluid change, or a vacum leak could cause a problem with the transmission shifting capabilities from what it sounds like it is an automatic, and there is likely a leak in a vaccum hose (vaccum is what gives the transmission power to make a gear change) and if low vaccum is detected, a check engine light may come on or may act strangely (or it may not come on at all) take it to a mechanic, see what they think
