Question:

2007 4.0L Automatic Mustang Exhaust?

Before I go any further I realize my mustang is automatic you dont need to rip on me.Anyways what exhaust system would sound best to make it sound more loud? Cat black or borla corsa????? or another? Thanks in advance

Answer:

Higher velocity? To what end? Because you sound like an intelligent fella, I guess you already know there are at least a half dozen different powders (each with their own burn rate) for any given cartridge. I also guess that in your years of responsible reloading experience, you know that you're looking for accuracy and consistency more than the 10 extra fps you'll get with a faster powder. Wait a second, is that you Glacierwolf? It is, isn't it? Get off the interwebs bro.
You sound stupid and posting anonymously shows that you know you are stupid. Try adding nitroglycerin.
This would be functionally the same as an overcharge of a fast burning powder and you would destroy the gun and probably your hand and/or face in the process. The gun has pressure limits beyond which you are simply flirting with disaster. Anything that increases the burn rate increases the pressure.
Cat BACK is just a type of system, describing where it fits into the exhaust system. Borla is a manufacturer of top level systems, they have a cat back system. Sound is not something I can say you'll like or not - It's too personal. Suggest you listen to some cars, find one that that trips your trigger, find out what make it is.
catback refers to the portion of the exhaust system from the outlet of the catalytic converter to the final vent to open air. This includes the pipe from the converter to the muffler, the muffler, and the final length of pipe to open air. Basically the whole exhaust system you could say. With your Mustang being a V6, it only has a single exhaust output. If go with keeping it a single outlet, then i suggest a flowmaster muffler. But if you decide to go with dual exhaust, your best bet would be buying 2 mufflers, i recommend thrush welded, and then having a muffler shop build you a custom h pipe to install with the 2 mufflers you purchased. They will also most likely have chrome tips there which may cost you a bit extra but all in all will be cheaper then buying the h pipe and/or x pipe, the mufflers and the tips. But look bro, there sooooo many different setups for exhaust. If you do go with converting to true dual (which you will need to do if you ever make any more big mods to the engine) there are a few different ways to do it. You could go with an x-pipe, which sounds really raspy but loud sound on the V6, an H pipe which has a deeper sound but not as loud its still very loud, or you could go with straight pipes, which is what I have now on my GT, it sounds incrediable with thrush exhaust. My buddy has a 06 4.0 with the same setup, and sounds very good, considering it is a V6. If you go with single exhaust (just 1 muffler) its not as loud, kinda raspy, and doesnt really sound like the ''american muscle'' i think your looking for. But just do your research, go on youtube and watch videos of mustang exhaust clips, im sure you will find what your looking for. Good Luck!
