Question:

36 weeks pregnant, just bumped into a chair?

It still hurts in the spot where I hit the chair. Wondered if this has happened to anyone else? I am hoping it didn't harm the baby. Don't want to rush and call the doc or anything just yet, but what signs should I look for? Obviously if I start bleeding or something crazy I will go straight to the er, but I am just concerned that I might have just hurt my little one!

Answer:

If the pain continues in the morning, I'd consult your doctor. I don't think the baby is harmed, but I am no doctor.
don't worry... I always bump into things and it hurts but I'm sure ur baby is fine.... If the pain continues for over a few hours look for signss like bleeding or baby movements decrased.... But I'm suree ur bby is ok
I keep opening the door into my belly! The doctor was giving me a hard time about the bruises that I have incurred carrying this thing around the past few weeks. If it's not the door, I've walked into my dresser, chairs knock it on the counters etc. Everything will be fine.
Don't worry. Your baby will be just fine. babies are very well protected inside of you in their little sac. They are tough little things, its not easy to hurt them. just bumping into a chair, would not be enough force to damage the baby. just keep an eye on how you are feeling. if you start to bleed, or severely cramp, then you should go in to the doctor and get checked out asap. i myself fell once during my pregnancy, and another time i accidentally rammed my stomach into the door knob. it even left a bruise. but i brought it up to my doctor and he wasn't concerned. he said that would not hurt the baby. don't stress. your baby will be just fine. good luck. :)
They are WELL protected in their little bubble. I'd just put a warm pack on it if it hurts and just relax and kick back.
