I bought this car just over 7 months ago, and about 2 months after I bought it I noticed that it was acting rather sluggish when I tried to accelerate more quickly than granny speedAfter a while of this I decided one day for some reason to just stomp on the gas pedal and there was a loud pop, the exhaust right in front of my catalytic converter had popped off, and I had to drive it from Kentucky to Indiana like that, it drove me insaneSo instead of welding up a new one I decided to take a few minutes to fix it with a coat hanger and some aluminum foilWell today I tried to accelerate rather quickly and my tac jumped up to 5 grand, but my speedo didnt go anywhere, do you guys think its my Cat converter thats causing this? I just want to be sure before I go welding a new one on.

Yeah Converter is Bad, Bad! Replace it and just to make sure everything else is OKReplace your Fuel Filter and run 3 or 4 Bottles of Injector Cleaner through the Gas Tank, 1 Bottle at a time with 3/4 Tank Each Time.
