Question:

96 blazer, putting dash back on, need help with an unknown electrical connector plug-?

Husband replaced heater core, been frustrating. He's got dash half way on but has a connector that he cant find what it plugs into. (prob something he forgot behind whats already together) PLEASE help. It's near the wires and connectors for the heating/cooling dials, lighter etc. Its white (not good at guessing measurements) about 1 x 1.5 in. rectangle- almost square. There are 5 little kind of cone shaped plugs on it, by plugs i mean the mail parts that would plug into where ever its supposed to go. Anyone know?

Answer:

._.
The radio? The Heat A/C controls. lights switches? It could be for an option the vehicle doesn't have. Before closing the dash, try running the engine to see if everything works.
Please do not suppose i am being a intelligent alec. I had a Jimmy which is similar and i have no idea how but I was once equipped to take the important thing out and the following morning after I could not get the key to turn; had to wake my husband up and get him out of bed, just to find out that I had now not put it in park the night before. So 1st, i might be certain it is in park. 2d, is the key stepping into the entire way. Is something else caught in the ignition. You probably have youngsters that is consistently a possibility. Last, in many instances for those who turn the steering wheel and get it to the lock position, the ignition will then turn. My daughters automobile is fairly fickle like that and will get me very pissed off oftentimes. Excellent good fortune!!
The color of the wires (including the tracer color) would be helpful and the number of terminal pins in the connector (number of wires) NOTE: It would also be helpful if you could post a picture of the connector. It is also possible this is an extra plug that would be used on a different equipment option. ADDED: Thanks for the update with the picture!, This is not an electrical connector, this is a vacuum connector, this is the vacuum connection to the rear of the HVAC control head, it locks onto the HVAC mode vacuum control switch (the one that says floor, A/C, MAX A/C etc. You won't have to take too much back apart to install this connection! Good Luck
