Question:

A bracket from my braces broke off!?

Can I put crazy glue to make it stay 2 my tooth and call my orthodontist tomorrow? -I think crazy glue or some cement my mom has to make the front mirror of her car stay up. Just as long as it is glued onto the tooth is fine. Otherwise if there is any 'danger' please let me kno, cuz i will proceed. Thanks

Answer:

No you have to go to the orthodontist. Don't glue it back in!!!
u go 2 da dentist
Ack! Don't glue it back on, whatever you do! :( Even if you put it back carefully, you can't see it like the orthodontist sees it, and it could cause complications. Let the orthodontist handle it, just take the bracket to the appointment in a little bag or something.
Do NOT try to glue it back into place with anything, especially super glue. Super glue contains chemicals that are known to cause cancer, and if you DO manage to get the bracket to stick to the tooth, the orthodontist won't be able to get it off without grinding through the metal. As long as the bracket is on the wire and it isn't digging into your gums, you don't really have an emergency. Cover the bracket with wax if it's irritating you, and give your orthodontist's office a call tomorrow first thing in the morning. They'll ask you some questions to assess whether you need to come in right away or if it can wait until your next appointmentthen just follow their directions. But again, do NOT try to glue it back in place. Good luck!
