I have a 2003 trailblazer ls and im trying to get a wire harness to put a after market radio but there is another wire. And I looked it up and it said its a OnStar. Is that really important to have? Can I just leave it unplug or what? I don't really understand why that other wire is there.
Onstar is an option that you don't require just leave it unplugged. It was an option that allowed you(for a price) to call a central place in case of an emergency or it will automatically call if you are involved in an accident.
If you were using Onstar, you'd know it, so the wire isn't important.
