You should send your carpet to a professional cleaner shop and let the professional do it even it might cost a lot.
How long has it been? If in half an hour, you can use the cold water to wash it away. If longer than that, sorry I cannot help :(
Usually you can, but you need to find out what your synthetic carpet is made of, e.g. nylon, polyester, triexta, olefin? Then you can decide what kind of detergent you can use to clean it.
